More Lost tidbits

More info from Korbi Ghosh, formerly of Eonline

Apparently all of my "friends" have seen the first two episodes of Lost (Friends being Doc Jensen, Michael Aussiello, Kristin Vietch, and Korbi- they consider themselves t.v. frienemies)

1. Jack and Ben are right where we left them last Spring, in the funeral parlour with Locke, and this season's action will start there.
2. The opening scene, which has more than one "wow" moment has much in common with season two's cold open, and you'll realize that almost right away.
3. Several important questions will be answered right off the bat, including why the Oceanic 6 must return to the Island, exactly what happened when Ben moved the Island and what Sun meant when she said that she and Widmore had common interests.
4. Remember The Arrow Station, where the tail section survivors hid from the Others back in year 3? We will revisit it and be informed of its very interesting purpose pretty early on in the premiere.
5. At least three people will be killed in the first act.
6. Sayid and Ben seem to be on especially bad terms.
7. Several characters who we've watched die will make return appearances -- some scary, some sorta funny.
8. Two characters that weren't married when we last saw them are now hitched.
9. Sawyer is shirtless for all 42 plus minutes of the first episode.
10. Daniel Faraday and his life's work play a pivotal role, not only in the premiere, but perhaps the entire season.

Gearing up for January 21st

It's coming people.....

316

http://www.eonline.com/uberblog/watch_with_kristin/b72312_lost_video_new_mysteries_revealed.html

If you can't see the video above, the dish is this:

Ben Linus will be reading a copy of James Joyce's Ulysses in ep seven. (Ulysses and its predecessor, Homer's The Odyssey, have been alluded to on the show but not featured onscreen.)
Episode seven of Lost season five is titled "316."
According to Lost cocreator Damon Lindelof: "There are at least two reasons [episode seven] is called '316.' " Have anything to do with John?

As for that logo, which you can spot in situ in the last seconds of the video, it appears to be a beacon of some kind.

What do you think it looks like? Do you think it has an associated Dharma station on the Island...or perhaps off the Island? And what's the significance of 316?

Lost Premiere Date!

What a happy surprise! I didn't think they were coming back till February! And a Wednesday at 9, so much better than a Thursday at 10 as predicted!

According to Entertainment Weekly, "Lost" is returning with a two-hour season premiere on January 21, 2009 at 8 p.m. That's a Wednesday. And EW's source says that, after the premiere, the show's regular timeslot will be Wednesdays from 9-10 p.m.

I'm so glad Thursdays are out of the picture for now. I prefer "Lost" on Wednesdays, rather than in an already crowded Thursday schedule. This is great news, yes?

UPDATE Saturday morning: According to Broadcasting & Cable, the two-hour premiere will begin at 9 p.m., preceded at 8 by a catch-up clips show.

Hello All

Is anyone out there??????????????????????

I want start getting back to this blog (or I fear I will soon be merging my blogs) and talk about
some things we might be excited about for the premiere, which sigh, won't be till January.

What I need is some information from you all?

How much spoilery stuff do you want me to post here?

Do you want to hear about rumors about certain episodes? who's returning and guest-starring?
I wouldn't post anything that would ruin too much- i think?

So let me know......

I know, I know......

I've been really bad about posting! Here's an interview with everyone's favorite, Taller Ghost Walt!

Lost: Taller Ghost Walt Talks About Who Has to Go Back to the Island
Categories: lost

One of the (many) burning questions inspired by the Lost finale is, "To whom was Ben referring when he says that everyone has to go back to the Island?" Meaning, who, exactly, is everyone?
Does everyone include Ji-Yeon, who was conceived on the Island but never took a breath there? Does it include helicopter pilot Frank, who just stopped by for a three-hour tour? And perhaps most intriguingly, does it include Walt, who left "early," and whose father has surely already paid the piper?
Now, I can't tell you yet if Ben's edict includes the babies, but I can tell you what Malcolm David Kelley thinks about Walt's situation! Click in to find out his take on Walt's destiny:

When asked at the 34th Annual Saturn Awards in Universal City, Calif., if he thought Walt had to go back with the rest of the gang, Malcolm said, "Yeah, I think I should go back to the Island and stir up a little trouble back there. I think that'd be pretty cool." Agreed!
Has he talked to the writers about guesting, recurring or becoming a regular on either of the show's final two seasons? Said Malcolm: "They haven't told me anything right now, but if and when they tell me, I'll go out to Hawaii and start working."
In the meanwhile, between now and the return of Lost, hang in there to see Malcolm in a new film he's very enthusiastic about. He said, "I just finished a movie in North Carolina called Mississippi Damned. It should be coming out some time next year, and it's a drama taking place in the '80s and '90s. It's a very good movie—really deep." Can't wait!Anyway, taller ghost Walt back on the Island for reals? Sounds absolutely fab to me—what do you think? Post in the comments.

Thursday May 15th previews

The preview from last week and another preview if you are all interested

Saturday, May 10, 2008

Welcome to Helen's Lost Blog

So, sometimes I e-mail you all information and places to check, but wouldn't it be more fun if we could talk about it here.

I thought this week's episode, "Cabin Fever", was fantastic! (I always love a Lock-centric episode!) Very trippy!

Move the Island? Is that why Jack can't get back?

Is Claire dead? She seemed very euphoric. Or does something special happen to dead people on the island?

Are Hurley and Ben the new comedy team?
